ARTIST STATEMENT

I often find myself questioning the meaning or purpose of life, the line between good and evil, life after death, the existence of an ultimate savior, or the set of rules that may govern all phenomenons. Whether or not there are answers to these questions, the journey of exploring possible answers have led me to becoming a filmmaker in a country passionate about mental and physical freedom. This decision is not based on any conclusions I've come to that are worthy of telling, but more so the sad truth that most people simply accept what has already been answered. Through my work, I attempt to convey how important and fulfilling it can be to thoroughly examine the basic fabric of our existence. Accepting concepts as how they have been told or created is a product of ignorance, and in turn makes us lead a passive life.

I have no intention of sounding self-righteous, condescending, or sanctimonious, but as I pointed out, there is a conundrum. People should consider spending some time to notice this, and this is once again what inspired me to become a filmmaker. I hope my films will present you with the same curiosity to journey with me into the unknown. Your decisions in life should never be those of anyone else, and instead manifested through your own experiences.
